The Office of Information Technology (OIT) and Government Technology (Govtech) hosted the 2023 Digital Government Summit on November 13, 2023, at the Renaissance Montgomery Hotel and Spa Convention Center.
The annual event was a testament to the growing influence of technology in government, bringing together over 300 public-sector professionals and leading industry partners to learn, share, and improve the future of technology in government!
Several subject matter experts and inspirational speakers presented, including a riveting keynote speech by Paralympic Games silver medalist, Persian Gulf War veteran, and TEDx motivational speaker, John Register. Other topics covered for the event included:

- GenAI
- Application development
- And so much more!
OIT Secretary Daniel Urquhart commented, “There is immense value in collaborating and sharing ideas with our IT colleagues in the government sector throughout the State of Alabama.
