Since 2006, the State of Alabama has recognized the performance, devotion, and years of service of State employees with the design, purchase, and presentation of longevity service pins and certificates of appreciation.

On Thursday, August 15th, 2024, OIT held a special ceremony to honor and celebrate several employees for their many contributions to OIT and the State. OIT Secretary Daniel Urquhart expressed his gratitude to these individuals for the experience, dedication, and value they bring to OIT before presenting them with Longevity Service Pins ranging from 5-35 years of State service.

Those recognized included:

  • Sheldon Jeames (35 years)
  • Walter Hahn (35 years)
  • Denise Milan (25 years)
  • Laura Crowder (10 years) (not pictured)
  • Onekia Brown (5 years)
  • Denita Clark (5 years)
  • Adam Claar (5 years)
Collectively, this group of OIT team members has 120 years of combined service to the State of Alabama! Their expertise and professionalism enables OIT to better support the many agencies that rely on its services to fulfill their responsibilities to Alabama constituents.
