Meet OIT’s New Deputy Secretary of Technology/COO, Auzzie Brown!

The Office of Information Technology welcomes Auzzie Brown, its new Deputy Secretary of Technology/COO. Auzzie is excited to be returning to the great State of Alabama, where it all started for him, to serve its constituents by managing the state’s IT operations.

Secretary Jim Purcell is delighted to welcome Auzzie Brown to his leadership team and says he’s “very excited about the future of our organization.”

Auzzie brings greetings from Virginia and a wealth of IT knowledge to the State. His educational background includes Master of Science degrees in: Management of Information Technology, Cybersecurity, and Information Systems. He has extensive amount of CISO and CIO experience.

Auzzie Brown Highlights:

  • Delivered the first ever Wi-Fi Internet services aboard military aircraft which resulted in the IT transfer to commercial airlines that created the global Wi-Fi services market.
  • Modernized White House IT Infrastructure to achieve 100% service availability to the President of the United States and his National Security Team.
  • Delivered Advanced Data Analytics services that generated $350M in annual revenue growth as CIO & CISO for J.G. Wentworth
